CUSTOM DESIGN JEWELLERY
It is important to understand what type of custom design
you are looking for. Personalized jewelry is an original art that comes from you, from your heart.
You are a unique person, so is your jewellery.
- Create New If you have a design of your own or have seen a style that has inspired you, we can help you to bring your ideas to life. See sketches and concept art designed just for you.
- Modify New You may have even found the perfect design with the exception of its finishes. Simply switching the stone type or using a different precious metal may be just enough to satisfy your personal taste.
- Replicate Many of our clients have had family heirlooms replicated. In some cases an additional piece of jewellery is made for another family member. Then there are the favorite jewellery items that were lost or worn-out and need to be replaced.
REPAIRING JEWELLERY
All jewellery repairs are done in-house by skilled artisans. Our consultants can help to diagnose your jewellery repair needs and explain what preventative measures to take for you to avoid future damage or loss of such precious heirlooms.
Precious metal will fatigue or erode over time. “Erosion” takes place when precious metals rub against equal or harder surfaces. “Metal fatigue” takes place when gold or platinum is stressed by constant knocking or bending. Once metal fatigue or erosion occurs, latches, clasps, prongs and links are prone to breaking, and our jewelry experts will prescribe the recommended procedures necessary to repair such damaged items.
STONE REPLACEMENT
We will assess the wear or damage and prescribe the necessary jewellery repair needed on the item.
Once we make our diagnosis, we will show you stones that match others in your piece and provide you with a repair and stone replacement quote.
CLEANING OR POLISHING
Before polishing your possessions, we will do a thorough jewellery inspection to diagnose any wear or erosion that is developing. If we find any wear or erosion, we will recommend preventive maintenance that could help you avoid losing a stone, keep a bracelet from falling off, or save a pendant from dropping from a broken chain. Precious metals are soft and can easily shift.
We recommend that all regularly worn gemstone jewellery should be cleaned and inspected every year to insure that the gems will remain in the settings.
